Two players, each with a fleet on a sea of 10 × 10 squares. You see your own ships; the other player’s are hidden from you.
First both place their ships: drag them from your fleet onto your sea, or tap a ship and then a square. A ship lies across or down; tap it on the sea to turn it, or press At random. When all are placed, press Ready.
Then you fire in turn: choose a square on the other’s sea (on a phone, tap it twice, or tap it and press Fire). A miss leaves a ring on the water, a hit a fire. When every part of a ship is hit, it sinks and shows.
The first to sink the whole fleet of the other wins. If the table chose it, whoever hits a ship fires once more.
When the time to place runs out, the ships still to place go to sea at random; when the time to fire runs out, a shot is fired for you.
Chips: the winner of the match gets 60, the loser -60.
Leaving costs chips after the first 6 shots of the battle. Once there is a winner, leaving is free. How many depends on the table (its length, the stakes and the players or bots); the leave window always shows the exact number.
The chips written here are for a whole game with people. A shorter game, or easy bots, pay less; hard bots pay more. What your table really pays shows at the end of the game (and before it in the «Table» panel, in the games that have one); the leave window always shows the exact leave cost.
Daily win limit: the games pay up to 1500 chips of wins a day, all of them together. The win that reaches it is paid in full; after it you can go on playing as usual for fun, and the chips come back the next day.
