STEKIUS

The STEKIUS games guide

Here you will find every game of STEKIUS on one page: the most popular card games, the classic board games, word games and puzzles you play on your own. All of them are free and play straight in the browser, with nothing to download.

Every game has a “Play now” button that takes you straight to the table, and a “Rules” page that explains step by step how it is played, how the points are counted and how the chips work. Pick what you like and start.

All the games

What games you will find

The games are split into four big families, so you quickly find what you are looking for, whether you have a few minutes or the whole evening ahead of you.

How you play with friends

You open a table, choose how many seats are for people and get a room code and an invite link. You send it to your friends and they join from their own device, wherever they are. To sit at a table with people, everyone needs an account.

You can also open a public table: it appears in the list of open tables, and anyone who wants to play asks to sit down. That way you find an opponent even when your friends are not online.

Play with bots on three levels

In almost every game you can put computer players in the empty seats. The bots have three levels, easy, medium and hard, and they play by the same rules as you: they never see hidden cards or the next card of the deck. It is the fastest way to learn a new game or to practise before you play with people.

If you first just want to see how a game is played, “Learn how to play” in the top menu opens a table where only bots play, and you watch.

The chips: virtual, no real money

All the games share one wallet of chips. They are game chips with no money value: they cannot be cashed out, sold or exchanged. They are won and lost at the tables, raise your level and put you on the leaderboard.

At tables with people only, the site keeps nothing: what the losers lose goes to the winners. Nobody goes below zero, and when your chips run out, the next day you get free chips so you can carry on.

The chips written in each game’s instructions are for a whole game with people. A shorter game or easy bots pay less, while hard bots pay more. What your table really pays you see at the end of the game.

There is also a daily limit on winnings, for all the games together. The win that reaches it is paid in full; after that you can keep playing as normal for fun, and the chips start again once a day; the window shows how much time is left.

Fair play for everyone

The results are checked on the server, not on your device: the cards are dealt there, the moves are checked there, and in Zygos every level is played again with the same physics before it counts. Two accounts on the same connection do not pass chips to each other.

Anyone who leaves a table that already counts pays a leave penalty, so that walking away from a lost game never pays off. In the chat of every table you can report a player who does not respect the others, and the administrator looks into it.

On phone, tablet and computer

Every game is made to play comfortably on a phone screen too: you drag cards and pieces with your finger or tap them, and on a computer you play with the mouse. The site is available in seven languages and remembers the language you chose.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Every game is free to play, with no download and no installation. The chips are virtual and have no money value.

Do I need an account to play?

To play with other people, keep your chips and your history and get on the leaderboard, yes. Without an account you can try the games only against bots, a few games a day.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. The site opens in every modern browser, on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and you move with your finger or with the mouse.

How do I learn a game I do not know?

Open the game’s “Rules” page from this guide, watch a table of bots with “Learn how to play”, and then play a game against easy bots.
