Last Card online at STEKIUS
Play nowLast Card is a quick and cheerful card game with cards in four colours. You throw matching cards onto the pile, use the special cards to make life hard for the others and try to get rid of all your cards first. When you have one left, you must call it.
At STEKIUS Last Card is played online for free, with two to six players, with friends or with AI players. Below you will find all the rules: the cards, what each one does, how the points count and which variants the table can choose.
The cards
The deck has 108 cards in four colours. In every colour there are the numbers 0 to 9 and the special cards “Skip”, “Turn back” and “Take 2”. There are also the black cards “Colour” and “Colour + Take 4”.
In every hand each player gets seven cards, and one card turns up on the pile to start the game.
How you play
On your turn you throw onto the pile a card that matches the top card: the same colour, or the same number or symbol. A black card goes on top of anything, and you choose the colour that follows.
If you cannot or do not want to play, you draw a card from the deck. If it matches, you can throw it at once or pass.
The special cards
- “Skip”: the next player loses their turn.
- “Turn back”: the play goes the other way. With two players it works like a “Skip”.
- “Take 2”: the next player takes two cards and loses their turn.
- “Colour”: goes on top of anything and you choose the colour that follows.
- “Colour + Take 4”: you choose the colour, and the next player takes four cards and loses their turn.
Call “Last card!”
When you have one card left, you must tap “Last card!” within three seconds. If the table plays with this rule and you are too late, you take two penalty cards. So always keep an eye on the button when you are close to the end.
Points and winning
Whoever is first left without cards wins the hand and the points of the cards left in the others’ hands: every number counts as much as it shows, every symbol 20 and every black card 50.
The table plays either one single hand, or hands until someone reaches the points it chose.
The table’s variants
Before the start, the table can choose some well-known variants: “Take” cards stack, so that the next player can answer with their own “Take”; you draw until a matching card comes; the 7 swaps hands with another player and the 0 passes all the hands along; and the “Take 4” may be played only when you do not have the colour.
With friends or with bots
You open a table and for every seat you choose whether it will be a person or a bot. For your friends you get a room code and an invitation link; you send them over and they join from their own device with their own account. You can also open a public table, where other players ask to sit down.
The bots have three levels, easy, medium and hard, and play by the same rules as you: they never see the others’ cards or the next card of the deck. With six seats, a table can fill up quickly with friends and bots together.
Tips
- Keep a black card for the moment when nothing else matches.
- When someone has few cards, throw them a “Take 2” or a “Skip”.
- Get rid of symbols and black cards early; they count a lot if you lose.
- Change the colour to the one you hold the most cards in.
Chips and leaving
The virtual chips are shared out by place: what the first players win, the last ones lose. After the first cards, whoever leaves pays a leave penalty. As soon as there is a winner, you leave freely.
