Two players, 12 pieces each, on the dark squares of an 8×8 board: the back of the backgammon board. Your pieces are always at the bottom. In the first game the light pieces move first; then the first move goes to the other player each game.
A man moves one square diagonally forward. On your turn the pieces that can move glow: tap one, then the square where it goes (the squares it can reach darken).
Capturing: jump over an opponent’s piece onto the empty square right behind it. If the same piece can capture again from there, it goes on in the same move: tap the squares one after the other. A man captures only forward (unless the table chose backward too); only a king goes and captures backward.
Capturing is compulsory: when you can capture, you must, but you choose which capture (unless the table chose that the one taking the most pieces is compulsory). The pieces taken leave the board when the move is over, and none is jumped twice.
A man that reaches the far row, with a capture or without, becomes a king (a second piece on top). It moves any number of empty squares diagonally, forward or backward, and captures from a distance, landing on any empty square behind the piece it takes.
You win a game when the other player cannot move: no pieces left, or all of them blocked. A draw: the same position three times, or 25 moves each with only kings moving and nothing taken.
The match: the first to win the games chosen at the start (1, 3 or 5). A draw counts for nobody.
Chips: the winner of the match gets 60, the loser -60.
Leaving costs chips after the first 4 moves of the match. Once the match has a winner, leaving is free. How many depends on the table (its length, the stakes and the players or bots); the leave window always shows the exact number.
The chips written here are for a whole game with people. A shorter game, or easy bots, pay less; hard bots pay more. What your table really pays shows at the end of the game (and before it in the «Table» panel, in the games that have one); the leave window always shows the exact leave cost.
Daily win limit: the games pay up to 1500 chips of wins a day, all of them together. The win that reaches it is paid in full; after it you can go on playing as usual for fun, and the chips come back the next day.
